Our courses
In addition to these courses, we also teach in other environments outside the schoolbuilding. Give us a message to discuss the possibilities.
On this page we will explain the difference between a DJ and a Producer, because a lot of people think that it’s the same profession! If it is not yet clear after the explanation, please contact us!
All of our standard courses are listed at the side. Click on it to get to the page. The rates of DJ and producer courses are on the rates page and on the pages of the course in question.
Scroll down or click on one of the icons on the side to go directly to that part of this page!
What’s the difference!?

There are different types of DJs:
Which DJ do I want to be? What DJ gear should I get? What’s a DJ controller, and which one is suitable for me? And which DJ software is included? What DJ training should I follow?
If you don’t know which DJ software you want to go with, click on one of the different software packages at the top of this page, for more info on the differences between the software packages, etc… After that you probably know what suits your wishes! But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what package you’re going to work with, the big names are basically all really good nowadays, only the workflow differs. The most important thing is that it works for YOU. Most of the time you can download fullfunctioning DJ software during a demo time. Try them out and figure out what suits your needs.
At the op left on this page you can find out what it means to be a DJ and which courses you can follow
A producer creates music with technology like computers
In the past people used to work Out of The Box (OTB). Which means they didn’t work Inside The Box (a computer). They used hardware like synthesizers, samplers, drumcomputers etc.
Nowadays most people use DAW’s (Digital Audio Workstations). A Daw is a computerprogram like Ableton, Logic and others. With a DAW you can sound like a complete band.
to speed up the process of programming in the music you can use keyboards and other types of MIDI controllers to record music and effects. This isn’t necessary though. There is a lot of producers out there working on just a laptop and headphones.
Which software should I use?
Which midi controller should I buy?
What are VST plugins and where do you get them from?
If you don’t know which musicproduce software (DAW) is right for you, click on one of the different software packages at the top of this page, for more information about differences between the software packages, which artists they use etc… Then you probably know what suits your wishes! And remember, they are all capable of the same results. they are all equally good nowadays, only the way of working differs, and the look and feel to it. The most important thing is that is works for YOU! Not everybody has the same taste.
You can run demo’s of the DAW’s to figure out which one you prefer.
At the top of this page you can find a link to the page where we list the DAW’s we use in our courses. Over there you can choose which producer course is suitable for you.
– Other music production packages such as Renoise, Protools, Reaper, Sonar etc. on request.
And the other guys, those are doing both?
That’s right! Most DJs/Producers who both do, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren etc, started only with one of the 2 skills and later discovered that they wanted to learn and perform the other skill as well.
There aren’t many that master both disciplines. Just because you’re a good DJ doesn’t mean you can produce good music too! And the other way around, just because you are good in Music Production doesn’t necessarily mean somebody knows how to DJ and rock the crowd.
We have put together a combi package for the people who want to become DJ and a Producer, see the combination DJ and Producer coursepage.
With production you really distinguish yourself as a DJ! So come to learn to producewith us, because you can play your own tracks and see people go crazy on your music, of course, it’s many times more than sacrificing others their music!
and possibilities!
