What kind of DJs are there anyway?
There are more different styles of DJs than you think!

There are different types of DJs:

Radio DJs (They announce the music and guests. The announcement is just as important as playing tunes, which are usually not mixed in principle)

Mix DJs (Beatmatches/beat mixes such as Armin van Buuren, AfroJack, David Guetta etc, make the records flow smoothly)

Party Jocks (Very quickly changing records and entertaining the audience with crazy things and jokes)

Selectors (Playing records without mixing, just tasting and feeling the atmosphere and playing the right music at the right time)

Turntablists (scratch DJs, making music WITH music, by making rhythmic movements with the records)

What kind of DJ do I want to be? What kind of DJ gear should I get? What’s a DJ controller, and which one is suitable for me? And which DJ software is included? Which DJ training should I follow?
If you don’t know which DJ software you want to go with, click on one of the different software packages at the top of this page, for more info on the differences between the software packages, etc… After that you probably know what suits your wishes! But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what package you’re going to work with, the big names are basically all really good nowadays, only the workflow differs. The most important thing is that it works for YOU. Most of the time you can download fullfunctioning DJ software during a demo time. Try them out and figure out what suits your needs. When you buy a controller, there is often an intro version of a software. Isn’t your software in there? Please contact us, we teach in almost everything.
